Maritime tourism
This is one of the most popular types of tourism in Adjara. Subtropical climate, warm sea climate, infrastructure of sea resorts, the combination of sea and mountain create unique leisure conditions for tourists visiting Adjara. The total length of the swimming lane is 21 km. The average sea temperature is + 21-29 °C.
The territory of Adjara includes the following marine resort zones:
- Batumi, Kobuleti,Makhinjauri, Green Cape, Chakvi, Gonio, Kvariati, Sarpi;

Cruise tourism
Historically, the port of Batumi is a logistics center in the Caucasus region. This was the first port through which Georgia acquired the function of a transit country. The further development of the port of Batumi was facilitated by the proclamation of the port as Porto Franco in 1878.

There are four protected areas in Adjara, with well-equipped paths and bicycle lanes, picnic and camping places. The landscape of Adjara is an excellent opportunity for hiking, horseback riding, scientific and eco-tours. Well-kept, pristine nature, rich green environment, waterfalls, lakes and rivers, reserves – with endemic and relict species, mountains that bring you to the sky and the sea – paradise for eco-tourism lovers. Gastronomic tourism

Wine tourism
There are enough resources for the development of wine tourism in the homeland of vines. The unique geographical location of Georgia gives us this opportunity. The traditions of winemaking-viticulture date back to 8000 years ago. 500 out of 2000 world famous grape varieties are Georgian.
An important component of wine tourism is tours, which include visiting vineyards, exploring winemaking technology and tastings. The people participating in the wine tour are most fascinated by the local wine, its history and culture. Georgia does not really lack all this.
Adjara is one of the oldest centers of winemaking from the regions of Western Georgia. Keda Municipality is considered to be the historical center of viticulture in Adjara. Unique types of wine produced in Adjara are “Kedi Tsolikauri” and “Chkhaveri”.
Chkhaveri is a pink grape vine variety. It’s distribution zone in Adjara is Keda Municipality. It provides high quality wine material.
Tsolikauri is a white grape wine grape variety, it is widely spread in Keda municipality. Tsolikauri is a late maturing variety.
Cultural tourism
Visiting cultural monuments, festivals, museums, cultural events, national handicrafts, traditional cuisine. Includes almost all areas of tourism related to the nation’s history, culture, ethnography, material and spiritual heritage.

Mountain-skiing tourism
Apart from the sea resort, Adjara region has a great potential for a ski resort.
The average height of mountains in mountainous Adjara is 2,000-2,500 meters. In recent years, the development of mountain resorts has begun in highland Adjara. They have both medical-recreational and entertainment purposes and they are designed for all four seasons of the year.
In the highlands of Adjara, at an altitude of 2350 meters above sea level, there is a mountain-skiing resort “Goderdzi”, which is visited by more than 20 thousand people a year.
Goderdzi is one of the resorts in Georgia, which has heavy snow and allows the season to open earlier and close later. The total length of the ski slope is 8 km. There are two types of ropeways – an eight-seater gondola and a six-seater bubble.
Gambling tourism
This type of tourism is very beneficial for the country’s economy.
Gambling is allowed under Georgian law. Quite a large number of visitors visit Adjara for entertainment in the field of gambling business.
