Green Cape – Botanical Garden

Batumi Botanical Garden

Botanical Garden in Adjara, 9 km from the city of Batumi, between the confluence of the Chakvistskali River and the coastline of the Green Cape. The garden occupies about 1 km south-west of the sea shoreline, which extends from 0-220 meters above sea level.

One of the richest botanical gardens in the world was founded in 1912 by Andrei Krasnov, a recognized classic of botany and physical geography. The floristic wealth of the garden is represented by nine sections planted on 111 hectares.

Tsikhisdziri – fortress-town of Petra

Petra town is located in the village of Tsikhisdziri, Kobuleti district, 25 km north of Batumi.Small Tsikhisdziri in Kobuleti Municipality is an archeological site and another shore of the Black Sea. Here you will find the ruins of a late ancient fortified city, also known as the Roman fortified city of Petra. The city is very small. It is a perfect place for those who are attracted to clean water, quiet place and rocky beaches.

Green Lake – Upper Adjara

Green Lake is located in Upper Adjara, near Goderdzi Pass, north of the Arsiani Range at an altitude of about 2058 meters above sea level. You can visit the lake in late spring, summer and in the first half of autumn. It is impossible to reach the lake in winter due to the high snow cover. Green Lake is especially beautiful in autumn. The water of the lake is clean, transparent, weakly mineralized and suitable for drinking, fish do not live in it.

Mtirala National Park

Mtirala National Park is located between Kobuleti, Keda and Khelvachauri municipalities. The national park is located 25 km from Batumi and 27 km from Kobuleti.

Mtirala National Park is famous for its diverse flora and ecotourism services. Tourists and local vacationers can enjoy the zip line arranged in the park. There is also a special “ropes park”, which is an eco-educational facility. There are 2 zones in the park, namely for families and adults.

If you love to relax in nature, hike, swim in the cold water of the river – then this place is for you. Visit to the park is free. There are picnic areas and tents.

Beshumi

Mountain climatic resort and summer village in Adjara, Khulo municipality, on Arsiani ridge, 1850-1900 m above sea level, 7 km from Goderdzi pass, 30 km from Khulo.

Beshumi resort is located near the Green Lake. You can also see modern cottage-type houses next to summer houses built with old Adjarian architecture. The resort is for summer.

There is unusually fresh air, with coniferous forests and rivers. The resort is known for its healing properties – it treats chronic diseases of children and the respiratory organs.

Gonio – Gonio Fortress

Gonio – Black Sea seaside resort in Adjara, Batumi, Gonio-Kvariati district. Located on the left of the river Chorokhi. Gonio – Sea and mountain air merge is one of the most popular seaside resorts in Georgia. Gonio, according to locals, has the best coastline. Unlike Tsikhisdziri, Gonio offers more entertaining and noisy rest. Shekvetili Dendrological Park

Shekvetili Dendrological Park has become one of the most popular tourist sites in the Adjara region with its diverse and unique collection of plants. In the garden, which is cultivated on about 60 hectares, you can see many species of exotic flora, both local and brought from different parts of the world.

The park is divided into two parts:

  • Georgian endemic species of trees are cultivated on 18 hectares, about 200 specimens;
  • On 42 hectares, a collection of exotic plants imported from different countries of the world is cultivated.

Shekvetili and Kaprovani coastline

Shekvetili and Kaprovani are the sandy beaches of Adjara. The sand on these beaches is believed to be good for treating cardiovascular diseases, nervous system problems, stress, and muscle diseases. The pine forest, which starts behind the shoreline of Shekvetili and Kaprovan, creates a pleasant and beautiful environment for vacationers.

Kintrishi Reserve

Located in Adjara, Kobuleti district, on the most beautiful sea resort of Georgia. It is located in the picturesque valley of the river Kintrishi, between the village of Tskhemvani and the mountains of Khino, at an altitude of 300-2500 meters above sea level.

Aquatic, ethnological, ecological and bird-watching tours can be arranged in the Kintrishi Protected Area. In the territory of the reserve you can also see two lakes Tbikeli and Didvake, also near the reserve there is a lake called Sirdzerdzali.
