The best ski resort in Georgia

Ski resort Gudauri is located in Kazbegi municipality, 2200 meters above sea level. Gudauri resort is located 2 hours away from Tbilisi (120 km). You can get to Gudauri by car or by minibus (minibuses leave from Didube bus station). The winter season in Gudauri lasts from December to March.

The natural conditions of Gudauri have become the main prerequisite for the creation of a ski resort. The first ropeway was built in 1988. Currently, there are 14 rope-way in Gudauri, and most of them are built famous Austrian company Doppelmayer. The lower cable car is located at an altitude of 1993 meters above sea level, and the upper one is at an altitude of 3276 meters above sea level.

Gudauri skiing tracks are intended for all levels of skiing. The total distance of the ski road is 70 kilometers, which includes 20 ski tracks.

Ski tracks are mainly of 4 different types of difficulty:

• Biddle level;
• Experienced and professional.

Gudauri is also a good place for cross-country skiing enthusiasts, as its steep slopes and snow cover allow it.
